David A. Barbuti, Architect, P.C., was created as an active and diversified Architectural Firm. Since inception, it has completed a wide range of commissions including commercial buildings and interiors, religious facilities, adaptive reuse, historic preservation projects, feasibility studies and master planning. The firm is capable of working with diverse project scales from the designing and detailing furniture through urban design.
Our philosophy has always been to combine design excellence with technical know-how. The content of the Architecture produced is clearly influenced by the aesthetic and cultural impulses that are intrinsic to the particular occasion and place of a project. Context is the generating principle of a project, it includes not only the physical environment and site, but also the programmatic and functional requirements of the project and the historical and aesthetic imagery intrinsic to its place. The synthesis of all the elements of context creates a meaningful identity for the project.

Our experience with diverse projects has enabled the development of an in-house staff capable of executing all stages of projects, from conceptual design through construction.

The firm provides comprehensive Architectural services including: FEASIBILITY STUDIES, CONCEPT SCHEMATICS, DESIGN DEVELOPMENT, CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS, BIDDING AND NEGOTIATION, CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION.

Our approach to each project, large or small, simple or complex, involves the simultaneous participation of the most experienced design, management and technical staff at the very outset so that our clients receive the most comprehensive advice at the earliest stage of their project delivery system which saves our clients time and money. This also gives us a mechanism to insure design and technical quality control. In addition, since today’s buildings are more complex than in previous eras, the mechanical, electrical and structural designs must be carefully selected and integrated into the Architecture from the beginning of the project to ensure a well conceived and detailed building. We enroll our clients in the design process. Clients participate from the beginning by choosing from alternate fundamental concepts, each of which has particular benefits. Once a concept is chosen which meets the client’s goals, budget and schedule, we and the client work out each detail. We are proud to say that this process has produces excellent buildings, working relationships, award-winning architecture and many repeat clients.
